1.Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: directly from you when you sign up or use the platform, automatically when you use the site, and from third parties who help us operate the service.

Information you provide directly:

• Account information — your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Crew profile information — your crew name, bio, industry, location, work history, skills, availability, and pay expectations.
• Member information — names, email addresses, and roles of crew members you add to your profile.
• Uploaded files — résumés (PDF) and crew photos (JPG/PNG) you choose to upload.
• Employer profile information — company name, job title, industry, location, crew size, pay range, and job description if you post a listing.
• Messages — content of conversations between crews and employers on the platform.

Information collected automatically:

• Log data including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on the site.
• Device information including operating system and screen resolution.
• Usage data such as which listings you view, filter settings, and search queries.

2.How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Providing the service — creating and maintaining your account, displaying your crew profile to employers, and facilitating communication between crews and employers.
• Matching — surfacing relevant job listings or crew profiles based on your industry, location, skills, and availability.
• Communications — sending transactional emails such as invite emails, application confirmations, and account-related notifications. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
• Security and fraud prevention — monitoring for suspicious activity and protecting user accounts.
• Improving the platform — understanding how features are used to make the product better.
• Legal compliance — meeting our obligations under applicable law.

We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles from your usage data.

3.How We Share Your Information

We share your information in limited circumstances:

With other users: Your crew profile — including your crew name, bio, location, skills, industry, and member information — is visible to employers browsing the platform, as that is the purpose of creating a profile. You control your visibility settings and can make your profile private at any time.

With service providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate the platform. These include:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Your data is stored in Supabase's infrastructure.
• Resend — transactional email delivery for invite and notification emails.
• Netlify — web hosting and content delivery.

These providers are contractually restricted from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.

For legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Crewed, our users, or the public.

Business transfers: If Crewed is acquired, merges with another company, or transfers assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before any such transfer and give you the option to delete your account.

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers, advertisers, or any third party.

4.Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure, hosted in the United States. We use row-level security policies to ensure that user data is only accessible by its owner and authorized parties.

Uploaded files (résumés, photos) are stored in Supabase Storage and are accessible via public URL. Do not upload documents containing sensitive personal information beyond what is appropriate for a professional profile — such as your full Social Security Number, financial account details, or government-issued ID numbers.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password for your Crewed account.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5.Cookies and Tracking

We use minimal tracking. The platform uses browser local storage and session tokens issued by Supabase to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Supabase may set cookies as part of its authentication flow. These are strictly necessary for the service to function and cannot be disabled without breaking the login experience.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar advertising trackers on the Crewed platform.

6.Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

• Access — you can view your crew profile and account information by logging into the platform at any time.
• Correction — you can update your profile information through the Edit Profile page.
• Deletion — you can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing privacy@mycrewed.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
• Profile visibility — you can set your profile to private at any time using the visibility toggle on your dashboard, which removes your profile from employer searches.
• Data portability — you can request a copy of your personal data in a machine-readable format by emailing us.

If you are located in the European Economic Area or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA respectively. Please contact us to exercise those rights.

7.Children's Privacy

Crewed is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately and we will delete that information promptly.

8.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will send a notification to the email address associated with your account at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Your continued use of the platform after a policy change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you disagree with any changes, you may delete your account before the change takes effect.
